We understand you and your needs
As we age, our natural facial movements begin to create noticeable lines and wrinkles. With time, we lose collagen and fat, and these lines deepen, eventually being visible even without facial movement. Some people with naturally strong facial muscles will have resting wrinkles even from a young age despite having abundant supporting tissue.
Lines and wrinkles that are visible due to strong muscle contractions and movement can be successfully treated with Anti Wrinkle injections. By targeting specific muscle groups, we can achieve a reduction or even eliminate visible wrinkles.
3 Things you must know about Anti Wrinkle Injections
Is it safe to get anti-wrinkle injections if you already have chin filler?
There are ‘no’ issues to the chin being treated with both anti-wrinkle injections and fillers.
It is important to consider the relative (and absolute) contours and proportions of the chin/jawline, with respect to the rest of the face.
Can you receive under eye/tear trough filler and under-eye anti-wrinkle injections the same day?
There is ‘no’ issue with treating the muscle around the eye (orbicularis oculi muscle near to the lower eyelid) on the same day as giving fillers to the tear troughs.
However, we need to consider judgement when treating tear troughs (due to the hygroscopicity of the filler, i.e. the innate ability of temporary fillers to attract water) particularly in the context of reducing the tone on orbicularis oculi – the risk being transient ‘fullness’ of the under-eye area, which would almost certainly look worse than not treating the area.
If tiny forehead wrinkles reappear 3 months after anti-wrinkle injections, does this mean the dosage was not enough?
This description can be described as within normal tolerances. The effect from anti-wrinkle injections (i.e. muscle relaxation) typically lasts 90-100 days, but with a range of 2-6 months (for different people and depending on various factors).
Importantly, one should note that the effect of anti-wrinkle injections, irrespective of brand, starts to ‘gradually’ decrease after it produces its maximum outcome (which is typically 2-4 weeks after treatment). Accordingly, the team at Ignite Medispa typically tell patients that they’re likely to see some fine wrinkles start to appear after 2 months.
