Deciding on Hair Loss Procedures
Hair loss can severely affect an individual’s self-esteem and confidence. This is why we at Ignite Medispa are committed to helping our patients to recapture the fullness of their hair.
The patterns of hair loss can be seen differently in men and women. Hair loss for men tends to start around the temples, creating a more prominent “M” shape as the hairline ventures back further. Additionally, men tend to lose hair around the crown area. Women mostly see hair loss around the top of their heads and can be more sporadic. This may make the gaps between hair look wider the hair thins.
Deciding to have a hair loss procedure can be a big decision. This is why we always offer a consultation beforehand to determine the right course of action for you. During this consultation, you may speak with one of our experienced doctors who will consider a variety of factors including:
- Physical and mental health
- Skin and hair type
- Your expectations of the procedure
- Type of procedure that may be appropriate
- Ethnic background
Once all of these factors have been determined, one of our experienced doctors may explain your surgery. Additionally, we may answer any questions that you may have regarding your hair loss procedure.
3 important elements of Hair Loss Procedures and why you may need one
Why am I losing so much hair in the shower?
When you stimulate your scalp in the shower with shampoo and conditioner, hair is bound to fall out.
The hair that falls out was usually almost ready to fall out naturally anyway and is not typically due to your type of hair product used in the shower; although this could be a long-term hair loss problem depending on the product you are using.
As you wash your hair, most strands naturally fall out as they were almost ready to fall out beforehand.
What is the main cause of hair loss?
There are a variety of reasons for why you may lose parts of your hair. Hair loss can be a normal part of aging; however, there are lots of other factors that can be the main cause. Some of these examples are:
- Severe stress
- Hormonal changes
- And more
The most common reason for hair loss is natural aging; however, with hair loss procedures at Ignite Medispa, we may be able to help you boost the fullness of your hair.
How do Hair Loss Procedures work?
One of the main hair loss procedure techniques is to redistribute your own hair.
Anaesthetic is used to numb the scalp and your surgeon removes a band of hair from the back and sides of this area.
Once removed, it is divided into extremely small micrografts and transferred to the areas of the scalp that need hair thickening.
Due to the tiny grafts, this may result in more natural-looking hair growth.
